France vs. Uruguay – Final Scoreline 0-0

This one deserves a new post. Uruguay put up a good defense wall of 10 men to fight off the French attack. Forgot to mention Henry in the last post… he has still got the touch. He was a delight to watch. A well fought match with some sparks from the Uruguayans and a solid impregnable defense. The last five minutes were spent on seats edge – nail biting. I am sure this FIFA World Cup would be better in every aspect.

Final Scoreline 0-0.  I might have missed the first match but it’s not a bad start for me in the FIFA 2010 World Cup.

P.S. Watch for Uruguay striker Diego Forlan (in picture). He is going to give many teams a scare.

2010 FIFA World Cup

I am writing this while the French and the Uruguayans football army are planning their winning moves and attacks in the locker room. Before they reappear through the tunnel after a well fought first half dominated by the French side and a missed change by Uruguay, I need to slap this on the blog. A confession, I am a football enthusiast during the FIFA World Cup and in the interim period of four years I am nobody. A bit of EPL now and then and salivating at the WAGS – they are something.

I am glad to see some familiar names on the field – Ribery and Abidel. I followed the Frenchmen’s in the last word cup and even slipped from office (to see them go down). I wish someone from the French squad could revive the sublime play and magic of Zidanne.

The football gladiators seem to be emerging from the tunnel. Time to goggle at the television. Hope you too enjoy following your team in 2010 FIFA World Cup. My money is on FRANCE and yours…
